Quentin has been working as a photographer with FairfaxMedia, for more than 25 years, and has covered many interesting and varied subjects. He has had cucumber sandwiches with the Queen. Landed on the deck of the Aircraft Carrier, USS Independence, Been yelled at by (the late) Kerry Packer, when he was holding a rifle and has spent a night trapped by flood waters with pianist David Helfgott. Quentin also has a Fossil site named after him in Riversleigh QLD. (Quentin’s Quarry).

Quentin has had many awards and achievements, starting in 1984 with an AJA Prodi Award for Best News picture, Best Rugby League picture in 1989, Finalist in the SSF World sports photo of the year in 1999, Finalist in the Australian Photographic Portrait Prize 2005, Finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Prize in 2009, and was nominated for a prestigious Walkley Award in 2006 and 2010.
